And what a success for the first ever IWF pay-per-view. We saw the crowning of the new Cruiserweight Champion, Billy Kidman, and CM Punk win the United States title tournament to become its champion.
Speaking of CM Punk, the IWF President Eric Bischoff and he have not seen eye to eye. So much, that Mr. Bischoff has brought back Triple H but in what capacity? It is no mystery that Bischoff and Punk have some serious tension. CM Punk better watch his back on this one.
Sabu and Rob Van Dam have a weird relationship. RVD came to the aid of Shawn Michaels after his match with Sabu at Vengeance. We thought Sabu was going to help Samoa Joe win against RVD but instead helped him. This was to the dismay of his manager, Kevin Sullivan. I am not sure why Sabu would do this or where this one is going.
Big Show and JBL will go at it on this week’s Velocity. Big Show got the last laugh at Vengeance. I know an unhappy JBL is not to be reckoned with. It’ll be the Giant versus the angry Texan. The winner of this one will head to the Elimination Chamber.
IWF Management was impressed with Lance Storm at Vengeance even though he lost to CM Punk in the finals of the U.S. title tournament.
IWF President Eric Bischoff is rumored to have a major plan set for Velocity! We will leave it at that. You will just have to tune in like myself to see what that's about.
Lastly, the “Heart Break Kid” Shawn Michaels moves onto the Elimination Chamber at SummerSlam along with CM Punk and Rob Van Dam. With three more slots open, there is plenty of potential for this match.
Take care, see you next week!
