Random thoughts from under the black Resistol hat while looking forward to Sunday's first ever pay-per-view, Vengeance, from the sold-out Pepsi Center in Denver. Matter of fact speaking, this will be the first ever event for the IWF period. The inception one would say. And this is thanks to the IWF President, Eric Bischoff, and his Board of Directors.
Speaking of which, the IWF President Eric Bischoff is rumored to have a plan set up for the first ever edition of Saturday Night Velocity next week! We are not just stopping at Vengeance, the excitement continues on with this company. Velocity is set to be the flagship show of the Insane Wrestling Federation brought to you on a weekly television format.
The IWF has signed some big names over the weekend including the “The Homicidal, Suicidal, Genocidal, Death-Defying Maniac” Sabu and the “Heart Break Kid”, Shawn Michaels. The two are going to face off at Vengeance. This should be an interesting contest to say the least.
Samoa Joe has signed with IWF last week and could become an immediate contender in the the fight for the vacant IWF Championship.
Hurricane and Kidman are set for singles action. Bichoff stated he liked both superstars talents in and out of the ring so much that he is making them fight it out for the Cruiserweight Championship. The Cruiserweights are an exclusive division here at the IWF. Sunday will showcase these high flyers and what this division has to offer.
IWF Management was impressed with signing of the Big Show yesterday. We will have to wait and see what kind of impression he makes.
And the topic on everyone’s mind is that mini tournament to crown the first ever IWF United States Champion. There appears to be some tough competition in this one. Scheduled in the semi-finals is Lance Storm taking on Raven, the battle of the former ECW superstars, and CM Punk going one on one with Kurt Angle. Punk and Angle right out of the gates is my most anticipated match on the card for some good old rasslin’. Any of these superstars would certainly be worthy of that championship.
Take care, see you next week!
